You can get to Versailles Palace by:
TRAIN: The closest station is Versailles Château Rive Gauche (a 10-minute walk). You get this train in Paris (Line C – RER regional).
There are 2 other Train options from Paris (a 15-20 minute walk):
- Versailles Chantiers
- Versailles Rive Droite
BUS: Bus 171 (RATP) runs between Pont de Sèvres and the Palace of Versailles.
PRIVATE VEHICLE: There are some paid car parks inside and outside the palace.
On arrival the entrance must be done by the Honour Gate (main entrance).
After entering the Gate you should use Entrance A, that is reserved to visitors with tickets.
Versailles Palace:
- November to late March – 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- April to late October – 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Gardens:
- November to late March – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- April to late October – 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
The Estate of Trianon:
- November to late March – 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- April to late October – 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Last admission: 30 minutes before closing
The Palace of Versailles and The Estate of Trianon are closed on:
- Mondays
- 25th December
- 1st January
The Park and Gardens are open every day except on snow or violent wind days.
Please note that on these days, an extra costs is added to your ticket.
No. Children under 5 get a ticket for free.
Child 6-17 years (non EU Resident) and under 26 EU Resident get a reduced price ticket.
Due to the high number of visitors, we recommend that you guarantee your admission online.
Due to the anti-terrorist security plan, are only admitted visitors with small baggage items (not exceeding 55x35x20 cm)
